He is one of only five African artists to be awarded a 2011 Robert Sterling Clark Foundation Fellowship.
The artists from Africa will spend two months working at VSC with 70 other artists in residence, providing all the participants with an opportunity for exchange and dialogue.
In addition to the benefits of cultural exchange as part of VSC’s international creative community, each fellow receives round-trip airfare, health insurance, and a cultural trip to New York City where the artists spend a week with the Triangle Artists Workshop, visiting area studios, galleries and museums.
The Studio Centre provides four to 12 week studio residencies on an historic 30-building campus along the Gihon River in Johnson, Vermont, a village in the heart of the northern Green Mountains.
