‘It has been an incredible journey with so much passion and amazing talent. All the girls that auditioned deserved a place in the semi final but we are limited because we need to identify a winner who will eventually be an ambassador for Zimbabwe in the UK,’ said Glorianne Francis, founder of Miss Zim Diamond.
Thirty girls have been selected to compete in the semi-final. They originate from various parts of Zimbabwe – including Bulawayo, Masvingo, Mutare, Bindura, and Hwange.
The red carpet event will be held on August 6 when 15 young ladies will be chosen to compete in the finals in September.
The emphasis of the semi-final will be for the girls to market various tourist destinations in Zimbabwe. The vision is for the girls to shine the spotlight on Zimbabwe, tell their stories to the world and inspire one another. The girls will all wear Classic Chic attire sponsored Adel Kaseke of Curvy Swan who recently launched her trade mark label and is currently selling her designs on ASOS.co.uk.
There will also be an African design category sponsored by various talented Zimbabwean designers.
Miss Zim Diamond aims to bring the pride back in to Zimbabwe as a force to be reckoned with in the fashion and entertainment industry and the economic world. – For further info: www.misszimdiamond.com or call 079 5665 1934.Post published in: Arts
