Please complete the form named ‘LOCAL’ if you are a Zimbabwean based member or the press. If you are not a member of the Zimbabwe press or not based in Zimbabwe should fill in the forms titled ‘FOREIGN’ and the Access to Information Accreditation Form AP3. All applications are to be accompanied by two passport sized photos or an electronic version.
It is recommended that all applicants read and understand the Media Guidelines before commencing their application.
NOTE TO FOREIGN MEDIA:
a) Under current legislation, anyone intending to do media work in Zimbabwe should first be authorized by the Ministry of Information and Publicity and the Zimbabwe Media Commission.
b) Please note that the accreditation for media personnel is a statutory requirement and applies to any journalist, whether one comes from a country that requires a visa for Zimbabwe or not. It is important therefore that journalists follow this procedure before leaving for Zimbabwe.
Please note that applications for accreditation close on Wednesday 20 JULY 2011 due to the volume of applications expected. Late applicants cannot be guaranteed accreditation. As a result, those wishing to obtain accreditation should register and apply as soon as possible .Sitting positions will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.
