The concert which started just after sunset at Mbizo Inn grounds, cut through the chilly night with fans braving out the weather.

“These are our own sons,” yelled the fans in the auditorium, pointing at the fact that the two famous artists are Kwekwe born and bred.

Bantuman I was the first one to take to the stage followed by incredible shouts of his name. At one time his voice was almost sunk by the marvellous ululations.

When he belted his popular hit Tangawagerwa, which speaks against discrimination of dreadlocked people, security personnel had to work overtime trying to stop crowds from mobbing the stage to join their beloved musician.

When Moyo came along, he did not kill the high spirits fans had amassed.

The National Arts Merits Award winner mesmerised his townsmen with leading hits from his album Toita Basa.

“We are all appreciative of the acceptance we get from people in Kwekwe and it is that support which has kept us going,” Bantuman I said after the show.
