In one of his most prized career wins he defeated FM Richmond Phiri of Zambia in
this tourney.Musatwe Simutowe came third in this tourney. He is the brother to GM Amon Simutowe.Melody Machoko another Zimbabwean learning in Botswana won the under fourteen girls category to complete
dominance over the Batswana by the Zimbabwean chess players.
Currently the South Africa Open is underway and Rodwell Makoto is among those doing us proud as well as Tinashe Tafira who salvaged a draw against a Grand Master in this tourney.All the best to our players.
