Mbofana expressed frustration at being club-less.

“I am a technical director at one of the junior academies here in Joburg, but I am not enjoying it. I want to move back to club football, and I want a club in the National First Division and Premier league,” he said.

The last time Mbofana coached in South Africa was early last year when he was in-charge of Limpopo-based outfit Dynamos in place of Shepered Murape. After a few months at Dynamos he was arrested on rape allegations, forcing his club to relieve him of his duties.

The former Zimbabwe Under-20 and Under-23 coach has in recent years coached Swaziland clubs Mbabane Highlanders, XI Men in Flight and Pigg's Peak Bush Bucks while back home he was in charge of the now defunct Mhangura.
