The organizer, Josh Hozheri, said long time Jazz gurus Cool Crooners, Oliver Mtukudzi and Mbare Trio are expected to perform at the popular annual festival.
Other names in the line-up are Sulumani Chimbetu, Dino Mudondo, Victor Kunonga, Jeys Marabini and many others will take turns to entertain music lovers for five days.
Of special note is the performance of Picky Kasamba who is expected to perform July 23. Kasamba is a popular figure in music who has been a long time member of the popular Black Spirits.
After spending more than 20 years working with Mtukudzi, Kasamba quit music in 2008 to venture into personal business.
“I will be performing with jazz outfit Too Open. Obviously I am very elated to have a chance to show my expertise on stage. I have performed with the band Too Open before and I hope that we will have a well oiled performance,” said Kasamba.
Many will recall the popular synchronized dance moves that Kasamba did with Mtukudzi in addition to providing backing vocals.
Kasamba also recorded an album titled Vakafa Vatambura in 1991 with Mazana Black Spirits, but most of his career was spent as a backing vocalist and dancer for Mtukudzi.
