Story telling event

On Monday 25 July from 2pm we will have a storytelling workshop which is open to all who wish to attend.

The workshop will be facilitated by veteran storyteller and writer Ignatius Mabasa and visiting guests James Robinson and Lillian Nalumansi which will benefit local artists and all who will attend.

The three hour long workshop will look at various aspects in storytelling which include history of Zim storytelling, how to develop content, tips on performance and some exercises. This will be of importance towards the development of the art in Zimbabwe as well as developing personal skills in the artists.

The workshop is open to all, if you wish to attend the workshop please inform us before 12 midday on Monday 25 July.

On Tuesday evening, 26 July at 5.30-7pm, Harare’s Book Café will be holding a Story Telling event which will host United Kingdom based storytellers James Robinson and Lillian Nalumansi who are on a Southern Africa tour.

The event which is organized once a month was established to give storytellers a space where they can perform the art and establish it as a professional discipline. The event is free and everyone is invited to come and enjoy an evening of wonderful stories.
