It is alleged that Mai Knight, well known for harassing MDC supporters in Chimanimani misappropriated funds intended to benefit women in various empowerment schemes.
Members of the women’s league reportedly paid amounts ranging from $2000 – $8000 as deposits for a tractor project, which Knight failed to account for. In addition some 5000 chicks entrusted to her for distribution were never given out to the women in the area.
