ZBC fails to pay BAZ

ZBC is struggling to pay its annual levy to the Broadcasting Authority of Zimbabwe. BAZ chief executive, Obert Muganyura, confirmed last week its coffers are dry.

The cash-strapped broadcaster’s top management drive top of the range vehicles and have their rent paid by the company.

Meanwhile BAZ has engaged the Japanese government to help in training on television digitalization. This comes after the failure by the Iranian government, which was said to be assisting with the digitalization of Pockets Hill.
