Zim-born volleyball coach

Zimbabwean-born volleyball coach, Nkosilathi Moyo, added a feather to his cap when he was recently appointed coach of Gauteng Province’s Under-23 men squad.

Moyo, 32, who has won numerous awards in both South Africa and his home country, was voted one of the province’s top three best coaches earlier this year.

“I am very happy and grateful to the Gauteng Volleyball Association for this appointment,” Moyo told The Zimbabwean. “In Zimbabwe, I coached the Under-20’s and won various awards, but the Under-23 level is an elevation for me.”

Moyo, a teacher by profession, left Zimbabwe for greener pasture in October and is now employed at a Johannesburg primary school, while also working to the Gauteng department of sport as a volleyball coach.
