In an interview with Showbiz last Thursday Mpofu said: “We took a lot of time and effort to come up with this project. The album is full of social issues and men who sleep with other people's wives inspired the title track.”
Mpofu last week shared the stage with Zimbabwe’s top artists Oliver Mtukudzi and Sulumani Chimbetu at a successful show in Kadoma.
He played songs from the album and his late father’s hits, including Murambinda – the song that propelled the late Jit music icon to stardom. “I started off as a doorman when my father used to stage live shows. Music was an inborn thing and I left my job to join Zambuko, the band which is backing me now,” said Mpofu.
"I used to travel a lot with my father taking care of the gate takings but I then later decided to play drums for the group.” Bruce has embarked on a national tour to hold promotional shows of the new album.
