
This is despite the fact that some of his fellow ministers like Stan Mudenge the Minister of High Education cannot use the laptops and even fewer are on social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter.
In Zimbabwe procuring a birth certificate is time consuming procedure that requires queuing from as early as 4am and often involves bribery.
However, Chamisa said that enhanced internet connectivity would ensure that documents such as birth certificates could be easily acquired.
“We have Zim Connect document which is a response by the government to make sure that we are connected to the people and that the people are connected to us. By next year you should be accessing your birth certificates on line and other documents,” said the minister.
