Fund raising gig on the cards

A fundraising gig featuring Zimbabwe’s top urban grooves artists is lined up for the end of this month in Harare.

Held under the theme “Represent Your Endz Family Fun Day”, the gig will raise money for Felly Orphanage situated in Mbare.

The United Kingdom-based music promoter Kudzai Chipadza, affectionately known as Riddim King in entertainment circles, together with other UK-based Zimbabweans will host the gig.

The orphanage looks after Aids orphans aged between one and six years. It is run by Aletta and Kumbirai Chipadza.

Said Riddim King: “We have been successfully fundraising for the orphanage together with other UK-based Zimbabweans for the past three years. We have held the Johns Afro Art Gala that was supported by Stanbic Bank.”

He said the gig would include aspiring talented musicians and dancers chosen by a team of DJs.

“We will also have performances by some of the hottest musicians like Decibel, Robby G and Tukiso Manonga amongst others,” he said.

Locally-based musicians King Shaddy, Stunner and Trevor Dongo among other dance groups will perform at the gig.
