It’s heating up

EDITOR - Clutching desperately at straws in an attempt to maintain its power grip, Zanu (PF) and the Mugabe regime are sadly attacking anything and everything in sight, all in the vain attempt to avert its inevitable demise.

From continued direct attacks (physical and psychological) on ordinary citizens, opposition government officials using the heavily biased legislature and state security agents to scathing and undiplomatic attacks on regional and international bodies and governments alike, Zanu (PF) is indeed succumbing to an ill-fated fall.

To watch, read and listen to many of the Zanu (PF) mouth pieces making vitriolic attacks, it only shows the desperate levels to which Zanu (PF) has plunged.

Clearly the heat is on and soon it will be dog eat dog as once-political heavy weights attempt to jump ship at the eleventh hour. Undeniably nature continues to take its course as age catches up, tactics become elusive as does the decline in brain power. Zanu (PF) political elites are finding it hard to hide behind their stained and withering fingers.

Empowerment drives and ideas continue to be brought to discussions but never to real fulfilment given Zanu (PF)’s overdue stronghold on government. Many hardworking ordinary Zimbabweans (who brave political violence) continue to be short-changed living far below acceptable dignifying lives while Zanu (PF) members amass inexcusable and unexplainable wealth.

Under the cover of nationalistic movement and empowerment campaigns, Zanu (PF) and the Mugabe regime have undoubtedly destroyed the social, political-economic and moral fabric of many families within Zimbabwe.

The centre ceases to hold when faults are identified in the Zanu (PF) regime. It is indeed cornered. – TAKURA CHIKETA, London
