Musona, who now plays in Germany, spent a successful three seasons at Chiefs where he won the Player of the Season and the Lesley Manyathela Golden Boot Award among other accolades.
Zvasiya said such achievements and discussions with Musona influenced his decision to sign for Chiefs.
The 20-year-old player was previously linked to Chiefs’ Gauteng rivals Supersport United but opted for the Johannesburg giants where he will be in familiar surroundings alongside several countrymen.
“It is a dream come true for me to have joined such a big club. I spoke briefly to Knowledge about the Club. He wished me all the best. I am obviously encouraged by what he achieved at the club in the short space of time. Knowledge has always been someone who is very focused in life. He sets his goals and achieves them and that is why I listen when he speaks. I would like to wish him all the best in Germany,” Zvasiya said of the player who now plies his trade at Hoffeinham in one of the biggest leagues in the world.
Alongside Musona and Ajax Cape Town star Khama Billiart, also a product of the academy, Zvasiya is hailed as a future prospect of Zimbabwean football.
Born in Harare, the player, who started his career as a defender but is now adept in central midfield, has previously starred for Monomotapa and FC Platinum in Zimbabwe.
