Coach Norman Mapeza is hoping that Musona, the new Hoffenheim signing, will be fit to play in the game.
Musona injured his groin at training two weeks ago and is expected to be out for three weeks. However, Mapeza wants the Warriors medical team to do their own assessments before they can decide whether to play him or rule him out.
"We are not sure as yet whether he will play," said Mussa.
"But the player indicated he will be available for the game and is hoping to be fit in time for the match. We know he was injured but the coach said he wants the medical team here to do their own assessments so that we can make a decision to play him or not."
Musona is the leading goal scorer for the Warriors in the current qualifiers after scoring three goals. He scored the only goal in the
1-1 draw against Liberia in March and then netted a brace in the 2-1 win over Mali.
Mapeza might have to stick to the Edward Sadomba/ Billiat combination which appeared to do well against Zambia.
Key players, striker Nyasha Mushekwi and defender Thomas Sweswe are already lost to the Warriors due to suspensions.
Mapeza's team appears to have adequate replacements in the form of Sadomba and defender Daniel Veremu.
