She also risks losing a deputy ministerial post in typical Zanu (PF) vindictive treatment.
Zanu (PF) sources say her case has been set down by the party's national disciplinary committee, led by Chairman Simon Khaya-Moyo. The committee was set to sit next week to decide Mutinhiri's fate.
If the committee upholds her suspension by the Mashonaland East provincial disciplinary committee, the administration secretary Didymus Mutasa will write to
the Clerk of Parliament advising of her recall.
Mutasa said: "Due process will be followed and the disciplinary committee will give her an opportunity to give her side of the story before a decision is made."
Mutinhiri was suspended after she was found guilty of violating Article 3, Section 18 (1) for failing to be loyal to the party, failing to conduct herself honestly and honourably in her dealings with the party and public and bringing the party into disrepute.
Mutinhiri argues her suspension was out of order because it was done by a provincial committee yet she is a member of the national consultative assembly. She has vowed to fight the suspension, and alleges State Security Minister Sydney Sekeramayi was leading the push for her ouster.
"There are people trying to destroy my political career," she said. "They want my constituency and my farm."
