This will be her debut appearance onscreen. Directed by Rumbi Katedza, Playing Warriors is Sevenzo’s dream come true.
"The play is set for October and I play the lead role! It's my debut onscreen appearance. I am very happy for this achievement and I have to decide what outfit to wear for the event and who to bring as my date," she said.
"This comedy is a turning point in the Zimbabwean arts industry," she added.
The movie features renowned actors Walter Mparutsa, Tendai Musoni, Prudence Katomeni Eddie Sandifolo and Nokuthula Lobengula.
Born in Harare, Sevenzo has worked in the entertainment industry since she left school.
