He said they reported the matter to Parks and Wildlife Management but had not received a response.
“As you know cattle is our source of wealth and we can`t afford to lose any more,” said the councillor.
Police in Gwanda confirmed receiving reports of stray hyenas from villagers but have referred the matter to Parks and Wildlife Management.
“Animal control is not within our jurisdiction. Parks must act to assist the desperate villagers,” said a police officer who declined to be named.
