Karen secured votes from six countries – Nigeria, Ghana, Angola, Mozambique, Tanzania and the rest of Africa (African countries that did not have participants in the show).
Wendall was voted by four African countries – Kenya, Zambia, Namibia and Zimbabwe.
The show was beamed live for 91 days on MNet's Channel 198. It opened with 26 contestants, all from Africa, which were then trimmed to five that eventually appeared on stage yesterday.
Wendall a 23-year-old commercial pilot, was overwhelmed with joy when compere IK announced that both of them had won US$200 000 apiece.
Wendall's mom rushed on stage and hugged her son and lifted her up. It was an emotional moment. Karen, 27, a model, who was in tears thinking she had lost to Wendall, was overjoyed when she was also announced a winner.
A massive party was on the cards for Wendall back home.
Youth Development, Indigenisation and Empowerment Minister Saviour Kasukuwere issued a statement last night congratulating Wendall.
"We would like to congratulate Wendall, on behalf of Government and the youths in Zimbabwe, for his successful participation and victory in BBA House," Kasukuwere said.
"Wendall performed exceptionally well and hoisted our flag high.
"We are proud of his achievement. We would like to call upon the nation to rally behind Wendall and expect a huge turnout at the Harare International Airport when he comes back."
