Zulu denies sacking dancing Queens

Marabi music king, Kireni Zulu has dismissed reports that he has fired his dancing queens, who also provided backing vocals. He said he had, rather, weaned them off to allow them to find their feet in the music industry.

Said Zulu in an interview: “If you can remember I have been singing with the dancing queens since 2000. I feel this is the time to let go off them because I want them to grow musically. They have an album they are working on which would be launched soon.

“I want to offer the six dancing queens a long service award for their industrious work and services with my band. They will be supported by my son’s band, Data band. I have three sets of instruments so I would also support the queens,” added Zulu.

He said he would assist the queens in their music career and offer them guidance. “I don’t want the queens to suffer once they are out of my stable, I will do everything to make sure they are comfortable,” he commented.

The queens are backing vocalists on Zulu’s latest offering, Vhura Chivharo. They offered a good melodious feel to the album.
