Anti-xenophobia match

One of the tripartite alliance partners in the South African government Congress of the South African Trade Unions has arranged some anti-xenophobia football for citizens of the four African countries.

Dubbed 4-Nations Anti-xenophobia Soccer Tournament, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Nigeria and Cameron will take part in this tournament. The matches will be played at Alexandra stadium on September 2 and 3 this year. Briefing the media on Wednesday the Cosatu Gauteng provincial chair person, Phuthasi Tseki, said they would take action against any attacks on foreigners.

“Cosatu and stake holders take the struggle against xenophobia as a serious human rights issue. We want to highlight that our struggle was never to liberate South Africa in the absence of other African people.”
