Mpofu recently dismissed claims by the former chairperson Tendai Savanhu that his board was still in charge of the company.

The new board, chaired by Farai Mutangamira, has been tasked with addressing strategic issues – key among them the recapitalization, estimated to cost about $100billion.

Board members include Siphiwe Mapfuwa, Chamunorwa Haruperi, Shingirayi Chibanguza, Jemmister Chininga, Valentine Vera, Lucas Nkomo, Johnson Mawere and Nkosilathi Jiyane.
