"Zimbabwe will have to play eight Tests before it will have a ranking," ICC said in a statement to The Zimbabwean.
The ongoing Test matches against Pakistan will leave Zimbabwe six matches short of returning to the rankings table.

The international cricket mother body explained that the reason Zimbabwe was excluded from its latest Test rankings was because they had not played a sufficient number of Test matches to warrant a spot.
