Dubbed ‘Thursday Nights’, the event was organized to showcase Zimbabweans’ talent in the area. Speaking to The Zimbabwean after the show, group founder and artistic director, Nkululeko Dube, expressed gratitude to Zimbabweans who came to the event.
“Special thanks to all those fans or rather friends of Iyasa in Joburg who came in their numbers to support us. What a night and what a show,” he said.
IYASA is Zimbabwe’s multi-award winning performing arts school for youths established in 2001 to support and promote the best interests of young musicians, dancers, actors and poets. It has since expanded to be a resource centre for most established and upcoming artistes, especially musicians, singers and dancers.
