The show will see the Shaina hitmaker sharing the stage with Afro-jazz superstar Ringo Madlinkosi of the hit songs "Sondela" and "Into Yami" among others.
In an interview with the Showbiz last Wednesday Kawara said:
“Obviously I am so happy to be part of the festival and I am looking forward to performing in South Africa for the first time. It is an honour to perform at the festival and I am going to do my best and represent Zimbabwe well."
Kawara is putting final touches to his forthcoming album, Tose, which is expected to be released at the end of this month.
“Fans can expect new songs from my upcoming album,” he said.
The annual event is a project of the City of Joburg that gives back to its residents and visitors through a combination of free and reasonably priced arts and culture events.
Apart from music, the festival seeks to give a platform to poets, dancers and visual artists, among others,s to showcase their talent.
