Meikles Africa boss quits

Meikles Africa Limited Chief Executive, Brendon Beaumont, has resigned with effect from September 30, 2011.

MAL said in a statement made available to The Zimbabwean that he had resigned to pursue "his own business interests".

"The Board wishes to express its appreciation to Mr Beaumont for the valuable contribution he has made to the Group since he joined in 2009,” the statement said.

Meikles is listed on the ZSE and currently has a market capitalisation of US$250 288 640 up from US$245 374 791 on Thursday last week. On Thursday, 4 913 849 foreign shares exchanged hands when the news that Beaumont reached the market.
