More laughs from Kahembe’s new show

Celebrated comedian, Kahembe, is back with another hilarious comedy called Vamwe Vanhu.

Kahembe (real name Tawanda Masarira) early this year released his debut comedy Bag Remhosva.

For the new release he teamed up with Mabla (Lloyd Kurima), Zebron “Shinda” Tembo and Elizabeth Chihura.

In a recent interview Kahembe said: “The new comedy focuses on some social issues that are bedeviling the community. But the difference is that I add comedy to come up with something that will make the audience laugh.”

Vamwe Vanhu is the first of three seasons of the television series that will be released every two months. The comedy is about Shinda, a policeman, who resents sleeping in the same bed with his wife because she snores. He opts to sleep in the living room. But, later Mai Shinda, his wife, discovers that he has an embarrassing secret and the drama unfolds.

“It is a simple way of teaching people not to judge others, especially concerning habits that are beyond their control,” he added.

In another episode Kahembe acts as a commuter omnibus driver who is always fond of avoiding police roadblocks. At one time he runs out of petrol with passengers on board and decides to run away from them and the vehicle, stealing their money as well.

Masarira’s career began in 2002 and he is part of Budiriro-based Tambanaye Arts Group.
