Nearly invisible silver dream machine

This bizarre motorbike is encased by a shining metal box that appears to make the rider float along the road.

Entitled 'moto undone', it features a quiet 1000w 48v electric engine that can reach speeds of 30mph with a range of 90 miles.

When viewed at the correct angle, the effect is to render the bike almost invisible and silent.

The bike does not even having a speed dial, instead the driver views the usual gauges and riding information through a downloadable smartphone app.

Amazingly, moto undone is road-legal as it has lights and is registered as a moped.

Michigan-based inventor Joey Ruiter explains: "It's hard to image a motorcycle without fancy paint, overpowered motors, exposed mechanical genius, and sweet exhaust tones.

"Moto undone is pure generic transportation and by motorbike category definition it isn't very cool.

"But with a few modifications it can easily share speed and performance with average motorcycles."

The company currently has no plans to put the vehicle into production. It is on display at the Grand Rapids Art Museum.
