Amakholwa Amahle has released their third album.

The album “Ukubekezela/Patience” is the group’s third offering since the ensemble was formed here four years ago and comes on the back of the successful “Injabulo/Joyful” which shook the gospel music industry when it was released in 2009.

The group, whose co-lead singers are Bheki Nkala and Tholakele Ngomayabo, the only Zimbabwean musician to perform at the 2010 FIFA World Cup, was formed in 2007 and immediately released their first album “Ufaro”.

Bubbling with confidence about the new release, Nkala told The Zimbabwean that Ukubekezela cemented a complete musical growth for the group.

“It exudes our total growth and I just cannot rate it against our two albums. It is testimony that we have grown as musicians and can now compete with the big names of this industry,” said Nkala.

He added that the title track had its roots in the way the group has been through a number of challenges to get to where it is now.

“We are testimony to the fact that life presents many challenges to everyone and the song was derived from the experiences we went through as a group – criticism from fellow church members and financial problems here and there in our formative stages.”
