Businessmen help community

The Rural Community Sports Development project ward 7 has been set up to encourage the development of sport in Tsholotsho.

The project was started in March by businessmen Senza Mvundla and Sifiso Bhebhe. Based in South Africa the pair have so far donated six wheelchairs and three soccer kits to the community and Pelela primary school..

Th main objectives of the organisation is give opportunities to talented individuals who have not been able to express their talent due to lack of resources.

"For now we are focused on ward 7 and we have been providing soccer kits, soccer balls, soccer boots, trophies, medals, athletics, shirts, cricket equipment, tennis balls equipment and other sport equipment to school children in the area," said project manager Senza Mvundla.

The duo has also introduced sports like cricket and tennis which have been previously overlooked in the region.

"We want to develop sports stars who will put our region on the map and encourage others to help build our community,” said Bhebhe.
