Celtics coach keen to see Nyandoro again

Bloemfontein Celtics coach, Clint Larsen, says he still wants to assess 23-year-old Zimbabwean international and former Monomotapa attacking mid-fielder/second striker Darryl Nyandoro - who disappeared in thin air after impressing during his brief trial.

“The last time we were heard from him he was trying to get his clearance from TP Mazembe. Since then, he has just disappeared without saying anything to us,” said Larsen.

During his stint at Celtics Nyandoro played a starring role which saw the team dispatching University of Pretoria (TUKS) 3-0 in a friendly match where he scored a brace.

Nyandoro started his professional career at Monomotapa FC, winning the league championship with them in 2008.

He was an integral part of the Zimbabwe U-17, U-20 and U-23 teams and has one senior national team cap under his belt. But ever since moving to TP Mazembe, he has struggled to find game time.

The careers of all the players who moved to the DRC have suffered a downward spiral. These include Chris Semakweri, Mtshumayeli Moyo and Mthulisi Maphosa.
