Hardbody PSL campaign boost

ZIFA Central Soccer League log leaders Hardbody have received a major boost in their PSL campaign. The team has clinched a kit sponsorship deal with a German oils and lubricants firm - FUCHS.

The deal was unveiled prior to the team’s victory against troubled log anchors, Blanket Mine, at Ascot Stadium.

Hardbody was presented three kits of jerseys inscribed FUCHS and a load of training regalia – much to the delight of the team’s fans who graced the colourful event.

Patrick Chikwanda, the team’s Chairman, was short of words to describe the amount of morale instilled on players by the development.

“The players and indeed the whole squad is on cloud nine right now. Our resolve to bring PSL action in the city has been strengthened,” he said.

CSL chairman, Patrick Hokonya, called on the corporate world to emulate the example of FUCHS and sponsor other teams in the league.

Gweru has been starved of PSL action for two seasons now. During Moses Chunga’s reign at Gunners, fans tasted the action for a few games when the team had declared Ascot Stadium as its home ground. But that decision that did not last three weeks.
