Haunted house freaks out visitors

A haunted house in Canada has boosted its scary reputation - by posting pictures of its terrified visitors.

The Nightmare Fears Factory, said to be the oldest haunted house in North America, has turned its spooked customers' faces into an internet sensation.

The attraction, in Niagara Falls, takes a snap of visitors during the tour as they are met with a car filled with ghosts.

Unfortunately for them, the attraction also has a dedicated flickr account full of the reactions for all the world to see.

And, as the pictures show, it's clearly not a moment for the faint-hearted.

Legend has it that the house stands in a former coffin factory and that its owner was killed when a stack of caskets fell on him.

Visitors are given a safety word – 'nightmares' – if they want to be escorted out during the 15-minute tour.

But those who use it have to be taken out through the 'chicken' exit. More than 100,000 people have reportedly done just that.
