The album Under Age, which is a combination of wedding and dance songs, is already a hit at various radio stations in South Africa and Zimbabwe, where it has enjoyed airplay on Shaya FM, radio VOP, Studio 7 and Lesedi FM.

The Plumtree-born Zee, 21, recorded the album with the assistance of a South African producer – T-shirtman, who also played in most of the songs.

“The album has also been sent to Zimbabwe and I am told that it is also doing well and has been played on radio a number of times,” Zee said during a recent interview with The Zimbabwean in Johannesburg.

“I have been signed by a Zimbabwean recording and marketing company, Diamond music, which is taking over the marketing and distribution of the album.”

Songs that are already proving a hit with music lovers, and which have become popular as the festive season nears, are the title track, Under Age, Emahlabathini and Ingoma.

Zee sings in a voice almost similar to late South African dance music singer, Peter Teanat and is backed in the album by new dancehall queen, Viviane Nomakanjani.
