Speaking in an interview after a meeting for MDC-T female youths, Chitungwiza Provincial Chairman, Albert Mashoko, said his executive plans to set up teams that will ensure that women not only in Chitungwiza but across the country register as voters.
“We do not only want them to be our members but also to be registered voters,” said Mashoko, who was commended as the best in the country after a huge turnout at the meeting.
He said the youths of the province of Chitungwiza would also demand better service from the local authorities.
“This is only the beginning. Our goal is to go in every district and inform the youths on the importance of registering as voters. And also on the importance of them on demanding better service delivery,” said Mashoko.
Most of Chitungwiza’s districts are besieged by acute water shortages and poor service delivery and Mashoko said that it is now time that the youths confront the councils so as to wake them from their slumber.
