"I knew it (the goal) would come," said Musona in an interview with The Zimbabwean . "I am really happy to score my first goal for Hoffeinhem. It's not easy especially when you are coming from an injury lay off.. But I was confident I would score and I hope to continue scoring,' said Musona.

Musona, who has come from the bench in the last five matches for the club, started the match against FC Cologne in the German Cup and repaid the German Bundesliga club by scoring the winner in their 2-1 victory over Cologne.

Musona’s second half strike sent Hoffenheim through to the third round of the tournament.

The Zimbabwean striker had a delayed start to life at the club after sustaining a hamstring injury in his first full training session. That injury meant that he missed the first four League games of the season as well as the Warriors' 2012 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Liberia at the National Sports Stadium on September 4.

But after returning from injury, Musona grabbed his first goal for the club in a game in which he started and should now be fancying his chances of securing a starting place in the team.
