Ncube will make SA laugh

Popular Zimbabwean comedian, Carl Joshua Ncube, will have an opportunity to showcase his sense of humour in an upcoming international comedy event.

Organizers of the Metro FM Comedy Experience, one of the continent’s leading comedy festivals, confirmed the stand-up comedian will headline the event alongside a number of comedians in Johannesburg next week.

The show, which is scheduled for the picturesque Emperors Palace east of the bustling, brings together the continent’s funniest comedians. This extravaganza will also feature Kagiso Lediga (South Africa), BasketMouth (Nigeria, Daliso Chaponda (Malawi), Ndumiso Lindi (South Africa), David Kibuuka (Uganda) and Nigeria’s Klint the Drunk.

“The Metro Comedy Experience is the funniest comedian line up ever assembled on the continent – a true celebration of Africa through comedy,” organizers said.

The one to look out for is Ncube. His wit has earned him unparalleled popularity in Zimbabwe. Besides being a stand-up comedian the humorist is also a graphic designer and video producer. He is also the brains behind the popular animated series, Nyaminyami, and Zuva Radzima.

Ncube first rose to prominence last December when he had a successful stint at the Listening Room in Harare. Later on, he became a regular act at Wildfire's Acoustic Nights in Harare.
