Gwekwerere played in the South African ABSA Premiership two seasons ago, where he turned out for Moroka Swallows and Jomo Cosmos before returning home to rejoin Dynamos and later CAPS United.

The player, however, says he wants to have another dance with the South African ABSA Premiership and revealed that he has been approached by Orlando Pirates and will be flying out some time next week for a trial with the club.

"I could have gone to South Africa last week but the club was involved in league matches and did not have time to try me. They said I should go next week. I am still waiting to hear for the final word from them but I should be leaving soon. I am confident I will make it.

I have played in the South African Premiership before and currently I am enjoying top form at CAPS United and I think I stand a good chance of landing a contract,” said Gwekwerere.

He has hit top form since crossing the divide when he joined the Green Machine from Dynamos. He is currently the club's leading goal scorer with seven goals.
