
Last week’s council budget meeting also resolved to adopt a stand-still budget as requested by the business community, residents and other stakeholders. “This means that our budget would remain at $5.7 million levels of last year. There was need for council to have a human heart and bear with residents. Council would do everything possible to find other means of raising revenue as residents recover from effects of the previous economic meltdown,” said the Mayor, Farai Nyandoro.
