Madzibaba and his band were coming from Binga where they performed at the Kujatana Nkubotu Peace Half-Marathon race.
"Mudhara Madzibaba hit a cow and he lost control of the vehicle. It was difficult to spot the cattle because it was during the night. We were lucky because he was not speeding," said one of Madzibaba's band members.
When The Zimbabwean news crew arrived at the scene of the accident, Madzibaba and some of his band members were still stranded.
"We have been here since last night. The truck's radiator was damaged and we need to tow the car to either Bulawayo or Harare," he said.
At the show, which was held at the Independence Square, Madzibaba and Khiama boys put on a scintillating performance which left the Batonga dominated crowd asking for more.
