“We will be introducing the council traffic police unit possibly by the end of this month. This will help restore normalcy in the town. Properly demarcated parking bays will also be in place soon,” said Mayor Farai Nyandoro.
He added: “Unregistered taxis will be required to purchase operators’ licences from the council. They need to be able to meet all the relevant passengers’ transport regulations and pick up passengers from designated points.”
