The artists will also perform annual shows in both Botswana and Zimbabwe beginning end of this year.
Ngomayabo, the only Zimbabwean-born female singer to perform at the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa last year, and the veteran Botswana singer, who has recorded a number of albums with his group, Ikhalanga Gospel, told ***The Zimbabwean that they would perform in early December.
The first show of the “Umbonge Ujehova” partnership, which will also feature a number of other musicians, will be held in Botswana’s small towns of Pikwe and Lubonong on December 2, after which the musicians will then proceed to Zimbabwe and perform at selected venues.
“I have decided to work with the Maleyis because they have been singing together and successfully as a married couple and as someone who is also married, I thought I could learn something from them on how to balance music and family life,” said Ngomayabo (37), who is also a founder member and co-lead singer for Johannesburg-based Zimbabwean gospel group – Amakholwa Amahle.
“This is not the first time I have done such shows. I have previously performed alongside Charles Charamba and his wife, Olivia and realised that to be the best, you have to hang out with the best.”Post published in: Entertainment
