The youths threatened villagers not to attend the meeting but the meeting went ahead after the intervention of the local leadership. Following the incident, the youths who tried to disrupt the meeting have been moving around village by village writing down names of all who attended the community meeting.

An update on the political environment in Zimbabwe
A dominantly ZANU P.F stronghold. There are reports of victimization and intimidation in the area .In ward 41, there were failed attempts last week by purported ZANU P.F youths to disrupt a meeting that was organized by the local community with the Prime Minister, Hon M. Tsvangirai being the guest of honor.
