Banket United triumph

Banket United have sealed their campaign for promotion into the Division One League and ultimately the PSL.

The team extended its Mashonaland West Division 2A lead to 12 points after humiliating Kariba Tigers 3-0 in an exciting derby played in Kariba.

The team’s possible promotion into the PSL will bring the top flight action to a myriad of football enthusiasts who have to travel to bigger cities to witness their beloved teams in action.

Meanwhile Blue Jets dismissed Come Again 5-0 in its campaign for a return into the Division One contest, widening their chances of PSL experience in the farming town of Chinhoyi. At Rydings stadium, Chirundu suffered a 0-5 loss to the hosts while CUT collected maximum points against unpredictable Lynx Mine at Chinhoyi Stadium following a 1-0 victory.

Omnia’s hope of promotion was plunged into abyss after the team shared spoils with Chinhoyi FC through a one-all draw.

But it was the performance of Banket United which raised high hopes of locals for PSL action in Chinhoyi – which has not been experienced in two decades.
