He said the energy projects would include a mini hydro power station and a bio gas system, although the actual locations of the projects are yet to be named.
“The Chinese government is going to embark on energy projects in Zimbabwe to reduce the problem of electricity affecting the people of Zimbabwe,” said Bing during the Asia Investment Forum held in Mashonaland West.
He also pledged to find business partners for local small and medium enterprises who are willing to establish big corporations as part of China-Zimbabwe investments ventures.
However, Chinese investors have been heavily criticized for plundering local resources and siphoning foreign currency out of Zimbabwe, thereby failing to assist in the country’s economic turn around strategy.
