Church to complete clinic

A city council clinic in Budiriro five that has been lying idle for over four years, has obtained a lifeline from a Pentecostal church that has moved in to complete the project.

United Pentecostal Ministries Bishop Shadreck Mpurwa said his church had extended a helping hand to Budiriro five in a move that would see the unfinished clinic completed.

“We are going to finish off the flooring, roofing and ceiling at the health care centre. The city council encountered challenges in completing the clinic,” said the bishop.

Mpurwa said they would work with the donor community, friends abroad and well-wishers to complete the clinic.

He said the construction work would cost around $4 million. After its completion, the church will hand over the facility to the city council. However, the bishop expressed fears that the city council was not in a position to run the clinic and indicated that the church would help city fathers with the job.

Ward 43 area councilor, Panganai Charumbira confirmed the development.
