Jani confident of victory

Veteran Motor Action goalkeeper, Marloni Jani, said his team would be out to wreck Dynamos' plans of winning a league and cup double when the two sides clash in the final of the $1m Mbada Diamonds Cup today.

In an interview with The Zimbabwean this week, Jani, whose team finished third in the league, said they were disappointed not to have defended their title this season, and wanted to make up for that by lifting the Mbada Diamonds Cup.

"At one time we led the log standings, but Dynamos forced their way to win the title so I think it's a good opportunity for us to revenge and win this cup. We already have the BancABCSuper8r Cup in the bag, but winning this one will help to erase painful memories of failing to win the league title," said Jani.

Dynamos are still fresh from securing their 18th Premier League title. The match will be played at the National Sports Stadium and will be televised by South African sports channel SuperSport.
