There was free entry and lots of entertainment at the fair, held in Harare Gardens. A sale was held during each day with original crafts, exotic goods, diverse merchandise, traditional foodstuffs such as dried tomatoes, kapenta fish from Kariba, amarula nuts, and oils being offered at low rates for cash-strapped customers.
The Fair was organised by Empretec Zimbabwe and Kunzwana Women’s Association, sponsored by the British Council.
It was supported by the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women, the United Nations Development Programme, and the International Organisation for Migration.
Other participants included ZimTrade, Zvishavane Water Project and the International Labour Organisation.
